the first complete assembled Bible had no chapters or verses,
were handwritten manuscripts written without spaces between the words and no punctuation.
The First Printed Bible
divided into verses was a Latin edition by Pagninus, printed in A.D.1528.
first complete English version was the Geneva Bible, printed in A.D.1560.
The word “God” appears in every book of the Bible except Esther and Song of Solomon.
The Old Testament can be divided as follows;
Historical Books (17) -Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther.
Poetical Books (5) -Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon,
Prophetic Books (17) Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi.
The New Testament is divided as follows;
Gospels (4) -Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,
Epistles (21) -Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, 1Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and Jude.
And the final chapter, Revelations, thought to be both prophetic and historical.
